If it doesnt work :
1- XMB menu language select English...try again..
2- Restore default from System settings..try again..
3- Format memory stick from system settings..try again..
4- Recovery menu>advanced>Format flash1 and reset settings..try again
5- If you have a fake memory stick -> change memory card.. use 2.0 GB sandisc or sony original memory stick.
